This animation, entitled "Mission to the Moon", was created for a
friend’s
physics finial year
project presentation.
They wanted a short animation that
included all the important
issues covered in their
presentation. The space ship or "modular
assembly" as they called it, was created by their design. The blue
strips around the fuel tanks represent where sponsor ship logos
would be located if the ship was constructed in real life.
The Earth and the
moon were constructed from NURBS spheres with bump
mapped textures attached. This project was enjoyable to do, and
gave me an idea of what its like trying to get a result that
someone, other than myself is happy with.
