This project was undertaken as part of my University degree.
The brief was to model a historic racing car in Maya. The chosen car had to have been built no later than 1970. This model then had to be placed into a scene and a render submitted. This was the first major project i created using maya. The car took about 75 hours to complete, and was initially constructed using polygons. It was then converted into NURBS for general detailing.
This model helped me to understand polygon modelling on a larger scale and some basics of NURBS modelling. If i had to recreate this model i would use mostly NURBS, since now i have a much better understanding of how they can be used. |
